ABOUT ANNE-FEMICA
More than a tour — a shared moment in Dubrovnik
I’m a licensed local guide with 40+ years of experience, offering 100% tailor-made private tours in Dubrovnik (EN/FR). Being a guide isn’t something you improvise — and choosing the right person truly makes a difference.
My background combines training in France (languages and humanities), professional guiding studies and specialisation in marketing and communication, followed by licensing in Croatia for Dubrovnik and its region. I have been guiding with passion since 1985, and my work has taken me across Europe, Russia and Africa with major tour operators.
What makes my tours different is the atmosphere and the pace. Whenever possible, we avoid the busiest tourist flow and choose a calmer, more authentic walk through places where locals still live. You’ll have time for photos (I’m happy to help), questions and pauses. In a relaxed way, I share the stories behind the “Pearl of the Adriatic” — and practical advice too: gastronomy, typical souvenirs, worthwhile excursions and truly good local addresses.
Parisian by my mother, and from Šipan by my father, I’ve shared my life between Paris, Dubrovnik and the island of Šipan (Elaphiti Islands) since childhood. This blend gives me a natural way to connect cultures and explain Dubrovnik in a clear, reassuring way for visitors.
Passionate about history and art history, I also enjoy a comparative approach that places the former Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) within the wider Mediterranean world — between Venice, the Slavic world, the Ottomans, epidemics and earthquakes, maritime trade and remarkable diplomacy. My goal is for you to leave with meaning, stories, and a real connection to Dubrovnik — not just facts.
